- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten

- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup brown sugar, packed

- Get the oven ready. Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Make the wet mix. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Stir in the melted butter, sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla until blended.
- Prepare the dry mix. In another bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt together. Gently fold this into the wet mixture until no streaks of flour remain—don’t overmix.
- Create the swirl. Mix the cinnamon and brown sugar in a small dish.
- Layer it up. Spread half of the banana batter into the pan. Sprinkle half the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top. Add the rest of the batter, then finish with the remaining cinnamon-sugar.
- Swirl and bake. Use a knife or skewer to drag through the batter in a few figure-eight motions to create a marbled look. Bake for 60–70 minutes, or until a toothpick poked into the center comes out clean. If the top darkens too fast, cover loosely with foil.
